The pocket oratory was made popular in the 1800's as a type of traveling altar. It was used much as they are today: by workers, soldiers, and travelers who may not be close to a Church when they'd like a space to pray.

Release details (as of March 31, 2025):

• The first batch will be resold by The Catholic Woodworker

• The Catholic Woodworker will conduct a survey in April 2025 to determine which color scheme will be released in the first batch. Follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and sign up for their email list to be part of the process!

• After the survey is complete, The Catholic Woodworker will have a presale to take orders for the first batch of pocket oratories.

• When the presale is complete, units will be manufactured and shipped with the goal of delivery in time for Father's Day 2025!
